The Bolex RX-VS is a very reliable reflex spring driven 16mm camera, this particular model was manufactured in 1963. The camera will varispeed from 12fps to 64fps including single frame for animation or timelapse work. The camera will automatically load the film. This is a later model in the RX-VS range and features the improved 10x viewfinder and the later gate, pressure plate and film loop formers.

We can also supply the Bolex H-16 RX-5 with a full super 16 modification.

This precision modification includes super 16 conversion of the gate. Super 16 conversion of the viewfinder, recentering of the top and centre lens ports to Super-16. Modification of all necessary film sprockets, guides and rollers.

The viewfinder is hardmasked to Super-16, so you can see the full S 16 image.

This is a native super-16 Bolex camera, which means that it was manufactured super 16 from new, it is not a super 16 conversion.

The main difference between the Bolex factory super 16 cameras and cameras that have been converted to super 16 at a later stage is that the factory models are switchable between Super 16 and regular 16mm, the viewfinder has markings for Super-16, 16mm and HDTV. Also it has the bigger and brighter 14x viewfinder
